Total Knee Replacement Performed 5 Years Ago. Cement Had Come Undo Have To Have Another Tkr. I Need Advice?
In my 40’s, after 4 surgeries and lot’s of knee pain my DR (after many DR opinions) a Total Knee Replacement was performed nearly 5 years ago. Last year I began experiencing bad pain in same knee. DR took xray and said the cement that held the knee replacement together was gone, it had dislodged. Occasionally with people in my age group this apparently can happen. It is taken 100’s of phone calls (I have excellent coverage but insurance companies suck). This is through State Farm because I was hit head on (their fault) that the DR said caused the deteriation of the knee. I even have an Attorney. My knee hurts so bad I can barely walk and can not work. Any suggestions?
Sounds like you will need another surgery. I had total hip replacement and they were able to do mine without any cement. Maybe you need a better knee surgeon next time.
It sounds to me like your surgeon screwed up. I would be doing alot of research on the procedure he did and really find out if this happens to alot of people in your age group. I would get a second opinion. Are you saying that your insurance company won’t pay for another operation? It sounds like you need to have this fixed so you can walk and have a life again. good luck
you need professional medical help.
