Total Knee Replacement Performed 5 Years Ago. Cement Had Come Undo Have To Have Another Tkr. I Need Advice.?

Total Knee Replacement performed 5 years ago. Cement had come undo have to have another TKR. I need advice.?
In my 40’s, after 4 surgeries and lot’s of knee pain my DR (after many DR opinions) a Total Knee Replacement was performed nearly 5 years ago. Last year I began experiencing bad pain in same knee. DR took xray and said the cement that held the knee replacement together was gone, it had dislodged. Occasionally with people in my age group this apparently can happen. It is taken 100’s of phone calls (I have excellent coverage but insurance companies suck). This is through State Farm because I was hit head on (their fault) that the DR said caused the deteriation of the knee. I even have an Attorney. My knee hurts so bad I can barely walk and can not work. Any suggestions? I am really upset, in a terrible mood, and getting depressed although they put me on anti-depressants (joke) and my husband won’t let me take pain pills because he says I can just tolerate it and he won’t live it.

My Acl Knee Replacement Is Now 10 Years Old….how Long Should It Last?

I had my Anterior Cruciate ligament completly renewed back in May ‘96.
One of the first ever done by Mr (Dr) John Fairclough.
I think it’s now stretched and is giving me knee instability.
ie dislocations which bloody hurt…!!
Obviously no excercise can help as it’s an artificial ligamemt.
Question really is should it have lasted forever?
I paid £5000 for the last operation and there is no way I could afford this again!
Also doubt the NHS would operate on an ex. private operation?
Any ideas please?

Several Years Ago I Had A Total Knee Replacement. Now (i Can’t Believe It) My Hips Are Starting To Ache Badly

I am in my forties, healthy, and now my hips hurt so bad it wakes me up from sleep and aches most of the day. I can’t take antiinflamatories because of my stomach lining. I am miserably in pain and don’t want to go back to DR after the 2 Total Knee Replacements I recently had. No more DRS!! Anyone have this problem and any way besides a heating pad help? Thanks.
