How Much Walking Will I Be Able To Do Once I Am Recoverd From My Knee Replacement?

it will take time to heel my love, what you have to remember is they have just put a new one in,
so it will take time before you can put full weight on it, you should
have physiotherapy on it afterwards . all i can say is do not rush these things. every thing takes time to heel.
just think they have had to cut open your muscles nerves in that area
and they have to heal 1st.
you will also have to have your bed downstairs because you will not be able to go up and down them. not after that op.
hope all goes well, will keep fingers x for you.

Will I Be Able To Go Hill Walking After I Have Recovered From My Knee Replacement Say Eight To Ten Miles ?

Not any time in the near future. You will be inpatient in the hospital for several days. Then you will go to rehab or have home health coming to your house. Then you will progress to outpatient rehab, probably for several weeks. It will take quite a while for you to return to your normal activities……….I would estimate 3 to 6 months.

Will Knee Replacement Work On Rheumatoid Arthritis?

It really depends on what you mean by “rheumatoid arthritis”. Is there already major damage to your knee? Has the knee cartilage been worn down close or to the joint bone? If there is then a knee replacement will definitely help get rid of pain and allow you get around much much easier.
However, age is important. Doctors are reluctant to give a knee replacement unless you are older because knee replacements are not a permanent solution. However, they are getting to be better and do last longer. Also, some people have a second and third replacements in their lifetime. How long they last also depends on how active you are. If you are very active with your new joint then it won’t last as long, but if you are moderately active, it will last longer.
A joint replacement is a last resort. Doctors will usually start out by using medicine, exercise, and healthy eating to help alleviate discomfort. Also, if you are very overweight, then it will definitely help your knee to lose weight. Just think how detrimental it would be to carry around an extra 20 pound barbell weight. A normal weight is better on the knees.

I Had A Knee Replacement Op Two Weeks Ago How Long Will It Be Before I Can Reduce Taking Pain Killers?

If the knee replacement was 2 weeks ago you should be fully mobile. You should only need to occasionally take a mild painkiller such as paracetamol, perhaps at night or if you have had more exercise. Your new knee joint should also allow you a full range of movement. If you are still getting pain quite often or if your knee is not moving as it should you should go back to your doctor to get it checked over. Good luck.

I Have Had A Knee Replacement. When I Go Through Airport Security, Will The Metal In My Knee Set Off The Alarm

It depends on what they used (they use different metals for different knee types). Luckily they will have a hand scanner which will show that it is under your flesh. I would recommend that you wear a skirt or trousers you can easily pull above your knee as they might want to have a look and you would not want to have to take trousers off in front of the whole queue!

How Much Settlement Will I Get From Works Comp For Total Knee Replacement On Both Knees?

Total settlement depends on the State, but generally is a combination of Permanent Disability plus value of Future Care.
Perm Disability value for a bilateral knee replacement is calculated differently in each State.
Future Care in your case can be pretty significant. Theoretically, total joints only last about 10-15 years. If it originally cost about $50,000 for the first two new knees, then you would need to take that into consideration when determining the value of your future care.
Combine the two, and that’s your total settlement (assuming that your State does allow future medical to be settled).
