I’m Getting Surgery On My Knee,an Anterior Ligament Replacement, Will I Have To Wear A Cast Afterwards?

I ruptured it pretty bad and the doc says i need a new one. I currently cannot walk on it and am wearing a temp brace until surgery.Will i have to wear a cast after the surgery?

What To Wear In Hospital After Having Knee Replacement Surgery?

I have had over a dozen knee surgeries and I usually wear shorts with those snap up pants over them if it is cold out. You may or may not have to wear a brace after the surgery, depending on the surgeon’s post op guidelines, and your knee will be very swollen and wrapped in gauze and ace bandages. If it is cold you can snap up the pants on your good leg to keep it warm and you can snap them up on the bad leg as much as you can. If it isn’t cold where you live, then just wear shorts. You will be in a hospital gown while you are in the hospital and don’t have to worry about clothes until you are discharged. Good luck.
