Knee Replacement, How Long Does Rehab Average If Going In Facility?

Well that comes down to your mental determination and positive attitude. My 93 year grandmother had a full knee replacement at age 89 and was pretty much back to normal within eight weeks. Granted her doctor was completely blown away of the rate of recovery for her. She surpassed pro athletes under his care in the speed of recovery. Keep moving no matter how much it hurts you. That is truly the secret to fast recovery. My grandmother was relentless in getting back on her feet. She did not let the pain stop her even when she screamed from the pain.

Looking For A Blog Site Of Someone Who Describes Going Thur Knee Replacement Surgery And Recovery?

The price of knee replacement surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

What Are The Chances Of Going From A Partial Knee Replacement To A Full Knee Replacement?

I had a unicompartmental knee replacement done in April of 2006. Now I am experience a great deal of pain on the out side of that same knee. I am now wearing a brace, and I purchase a cane to assist me with walking. I had an x-ray done, and was told that there is some slipping in that joint (not sure what that means), and that I have a significant amount of bone loss. I am extremely tired of being in pain all the time. I am constantly taking pain pills which have seem to stop working. I still feel that it was a good idea to get done, I just feel that I should have had the full one done. Now it looks as if I may have to get it done.
