- She needs to go to a different doctor, who is much more understanding. I’m sure there is something that will help, even physical therapy. I think that doctors forget that elderly people have a life, too.
- yep its not the Dr.s fault she re injured it however there is therapy out there that will help. nerve damage that may go away by itself in time.she also could of bent it farther than she has since her surgey and that hurts too because until you say like fall for the first time after that;then it bends and strecthes farther than your use to using it. but in a few days or 2 weeks its fine just like if you sprained something. Listen to what the dr. says and be sure to tell him what all hapened
- I had a knee replacement and it still gets sore after extreme exercise or activity. Sometimes if I bump my leg near it, I also get alot of pain and soreness. And I’ve fallen on it quite a few times; so I understand her discouragement. Taking anti-inflammatories like aspirin/ibuprophen with food makes it hurt less. I also find that soaking the knee in a hot tub of water during bath time relaxes the muscles. She might need to use a cane for a little to take some of the pressure off of the knee till it heals again. Good Luck.

I answered this question earlier, so I am not sure if I didn’t give you what you were looking for or if you didn’t get it, but this is what I said…
Get your knee replaced again. I am sure that you knew you would have to have more than one since you are only in your 40’s. I have had 13 knee surgeries, so I know the kind of pain and discomfort you are in. You have done all the right things and taken all the right steps…you are very proactive and that is the most important thing. Don’t listen to your husband about the pain pills. If you need them to improve the quality of your life, you should take them. He is not in pain. I would tell him to shove it if I were you. If it hurts so bad that you cannot work and have trouble walking, you deserve to have every opportunity to ease that pain. Good luck to you. - Total Knee Replacement Performed 5 Years Ago. Just be prepared to have more knee surgeries. This is the thing with TKRs-they are more prone to complications than total hips. My opinion is you underwent TKR very early at 40. Lots of luck to you. - Total Knee Replacement At I.u Hopsital?
The opps manager ware I used to work, had it done, he experenced a lot of infections, his knees locked up a lot, causing him to fall back wards.
A reduction in body weight my do the trick, so you won’t kneed the surgery.
