I work for an orthopaedic surgeon and I have seen it happen. If you have the doctor behind you enough this is definately possible. If you think about it : if it were not for your initial injury then arthritis would not have set in and you would not need the knee replacement.
No one will cover your for this. For one thing it is 10years later, even if you are correct and the initial injury caused the need for the replacement.
you can only get reimbursement 5 years back from being hurt on a job site or in an accident=sorry

It takes depending on age about 5 to 6 months in order to recuperate. If the knee replacement the orgin of the cause was from a trauma its more easier to recuperate but if its from a pathology like arthritis its going to take a long time disability its the number one in this qualification.
