Does Glucosamine Really Help Your Joints Heal?
I have been having pains in my shoulders. I’m trying to keep active but it seems that my sleep is being disturbed on a nightly basis because of aching in my shoulders and I cannot find a good resting place without some pain at night. I heard Glucosamine can help heal joints that are suffering from damaged ligaments and tendons. There are a few different kinds out there. I would like to hear from people who are trying it, which type your are taking, if it really is helping you and where you get it at a reasonable price. Please be specific. Thanks!
I use move free and it works for me, It takes a week or so to notice a difference. Drink lots of water dehydration will make joints hurt.
glucosamine does not heal ligaments or tendons. it is a building block of cartilage- so it can be helpful in reducing pain & stiffness in arthritis. most research was done one people w/ knee arthritis- and they found it slowed progression of the disease & reduced pain.
if you choose to take it you need 1500 mg of glucosamine a day (what they used in studies).
you should see an orthopedist to determine why you have pain- if it’s bursitis or a rotator cuff problem, glucosamine won’t help at all.
